**Job Category****:** Production Growth **Requisition Number****:** WAREH02177 Showing 1 location **Essential** **Duties** **&** **Responsibilities****:** * Operation of material handling equipment to include fork trucks, Raymond reach fork truck and battery changing equipment.

* Safely handle all assigned equipment paying particular attention to Pedestrian / Fork Lift rules of engagement.

* Know and follow all material storage guidelines, especially those pertaining to roll stacking and rack storage

* Verify products are properly labeled, packed and visibly meet all defect, telescoping and other quality standards.

* Material testing and quality checks on products to ensure quality standards are being met.

* Must be able to detect defects and eliminate, know defects in general for your assigned area.

* Exercise decision making authority within controlled work area as established by process documentation, production requirements and supervisor or manager direction.

* Housekeeping and general cleanliness of all assigned areas in the Plant to maintain a safe and orderly environment at all times.

* Administer, record and report all necessary data. Record and report on assigned operational metrics as required in each area.

* Operate independently after training with minimal direct, ongoing supervision while successfully achieving jobs.

* Properly prioritize assigned tasks in the warehouse and secondaries to complete all jobs on time.

* Interact with other technicians, area leaders, Supervisors and other personnel as needed to ensure a safe working environment exists in which we can produce quality product to sell.

* Preventive maintenance as assigned specific tasks for each piece of material handling or secondaries equipment and area under supervision by other trained technicians or leadership to include proper battery charging procedures.

* Understands and follows all Safety Rules as established by management.

* Actively participate in team safety and improvement idea activities including the SGA process, KYTs and safety meetings.

* Reports all safety and equipment incidents promptly using Toray's incident reporting system

* Behave in a professional manner and maintain good attendance.

* Ability to accomplish basic tasks with regular (hourly) supervision in trained areas.

* Follow up on own warehouse scans checking in SAP for inventory in holding statuses of 0002, 0008, BGRD, etc.

* Make scan corrections as needed

* Perform bin-to-bin scans to improve inventory accuracy, recording any discrepancies

* Look up empty bins in SAP to maximize warehouse storage by strategically placing material in bins

* ID quality issues, take action to correct and report

* Load transfer trailers and complete paperwork for processing

* Process paperwork for trash trailers

* Pull orders for shipment and stage for loading

* Ability to process special sample requests by pulling, packaging neatly and labeling per specified instructions

* Can troubleshoot routine label printer issues to include roll changing and ribbon changing

* Must be organized and pay strict attention to detail.

* Must observe and obey all STOP & ISO procedures.

* Must maintain a clean and safe area.

* Trained and certified on proper battery care and rotation

* Demonstrates proper dock maintenance to include safe trailer locking and chocking procedures

* Ability to recognize when various situations exceed training and knowledge levels and communicate with peers and leadership to obtain necessary help to solve problems.

* Must be able to react to customer needs such as last minute shipping requirements.

* Must be able to meet target output numbers and other budgetary constraints.

* Understands work instructions that pertain to the area in which they are trained.

* Follow proper fork truck battery maintenance guidelines.

* Within the assigned time, the individual must become fully trained in one of the following areas as assigned by leadership:

+ Splicer/Menzel (45 days), Warehouse (20 days) Skiver (45 days), Agglomerator ( 15 days)

* Must become certified on all equipment handling tools within 6 months of hire date (Big Joe, Walkie-Rider, hoists, fork truck, reach truck and manual pallet jack).

* Must become proficient at roll scan operations and TEKTerm Scanner troubleshooting

* Must become proficient using SAPs inventory management functions

* Must participate in regular cycle and full system inventory counts

* Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis

* Ability to push/pull 1500 lb. using wheeled cart

* Able to work 12 hour rotating work shift and mandatory overtime

* Ability to work in hot or cold and sometimes dirty environment.

* Ability to stand on concrete floors for long periods of time may be up to 12 hours or more.

* High School Diploma or GED

* Some Computer Skills required

* Manufacturing Experience preferred
