Schedule: Monday-Friday; Days 8am

Position Summary: The Clinical Research Coordinator I assists pediatric psychologist and physician scientists in the development and implementation of clinical research focusing on the immediate and long-term evaluation of integrative medicine practices on health outcomes of children with chronic/critical illness and their families, conducted by Dr. Jeffrey Gold (PI) and the Biobehavioral Pain Lab staff in the Department of Anesthesiology Critical Care Medicine in partnership with the Pain Medicine and Palliative Care Teams, and Rehabilitation Medicine. Areas of research include integrative medicine (i.e., acupuncture, yoga, massage, mindfulness, and biofeedback), secondary traumatic stress in healthcare providers, virtual and augmented reality for managing pain, stress, and anxiety in patients undergoing routine painful medical procedures and VR assisted procedural preparation for undergoing non-sedated medical procedures. Assists the USC Institute for Integrative Health & Wellness (IIHW) with the development and implementation of various events and opportunities including CME accredited symposiums and presentations to bring together USC and broader-Los Angeles communities in the education, research, and clinical applications of integrative medicine practices.

Minimum Qualifications: 1+ year experience in clinical research and/or clinical trial coordination or computerized databases.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Experience with a variety of software programs, such as SPSS, Qualtrics, Microsoft suite (power point, excel, word, etc.) highly preferred.

Education/Licensure/Certifications: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree in related scientific field preferred. Certified clinical research associate/coordinator preferred.

Pay Scale Information

$49,504.00-$85,394.00

Final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
