**Job Purpose/Role**

Based in Munich or Cologne, you will work as a claims adjuster / technical assessor in national and international industrial customer business.

The objective is to fulfil Allianz's contractual promise of performance in the event of a claim in a qualified, effective and fair manner vis--vis the customer. In addition to technical understanding, a high degree of customer orientation is required.

A fundamental interest in new technologies such as renewable energies, new manufacturing processes and new markets is a prerequisite. Your willingness to familiarize yourself with underwriting issues is expected if knowledge is not already available. Ideally, you should have practical experience and enthusiasm for complex technical issues.

**Responsibilities**

In this role you will

Be responsible for Loss assessment and investigation of national and international claims in all areas of engineering insurance

Handle complex claims with high exposure in a team

Assess insurance cover

Advise the client on effective loss mitigation measures in the event of a claim

Settle claims independently in dialogue with the customer

Participate in a continuous exchange of experience and opinions with colleagues and superiors

Work on projects and you will take care of general tasks of the division

**To be successful in the role:**

You will have.

A Completed Bachelor's/Master's degree in mechanical engineering / industrial engineering or comparable training or studies

A Focus on renewable energy, plant construction, project business or service is an advantage

Strong customer orientation

Proven team-, and communication skills

Confident appearance, good conversation and negotiation skills

Ability and willingness to travel (national/international)

Good knowledge of common PC software

Fluent German skills and business fluent written and spoken English skills, other languages are an advantage

Ideally you will also have

Knowledge of the technical insurance sector if you don't have it, we'll train you

Strong interest in the areas of renewable energy, plant construction, project business or service
