Summary

This position provides administrative support to PaintCare as part of the Communications department.

About PaintCare

PaintCare is committed to making it easy and convenient for households, businesses, and institutions to recycle postconsumer (leftover) paint in states with paint stewardship laws. A nonprofit organization created by paint manufacturers, PaintCare sets up drop-off locations for leftover paint, arranges for recycling and proper disposal, and conducts public education. More than 70 million gallons of paint, stain, and varnish have been managed by PaintCare in 10 states and the District of Columbia. Responsibilities

General Support
Provide administrative support to PaintCare's communications department and other staff
Provide customer service support for public inquiries via email and telephone
Draft documents and prepare reports
Filing, data entry, and organizing information
Provide research assistance
Perform additional duties as needed

Materials Fulfillment
Process orders and fulfill public outreach materials and supplies to staff and partner sites
Create and file material orders
Coordinate printing and production for business cards, name badges, promotional items, documents, and other materials
Track pricing and inventory of materials
Maintain storage and shipping room
Serve as liaison to production vendors

Meetings & Events
Coordinate and schedule staff meetings and group functions
Organize group function logistics including identifying meeting venues, organizing meals, and coordinating staff transportation to meeting activities
Assist with developing agendas and taking notes during meetings
Pack, ship, and track shipments to event and meeting venues
Assist with conducting virtual meetings & webinars (MS Teams)
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Comfort with cloud-based filesharing and project management software platforms and learning additional software as needed
Excellent organizational skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and prioritize
Ability to occasionally travel for team meetings and events
Interest in environmental sustainability and the goals of the PaintCare program
Location and Travel
This position is located at ACA headquarters in Washington, D.C., and will operate within a hybrid work environment (working both onsite and remotely). Occasional travel throughout the U.S. will be required to attend and coordinate meetings and events. Overnight travel time will vary and may amount to 25% of hours at some times.
Employment, Salary and Benefits
This is a full time, regular position. Salary depends on experience. PaintCare, through the ACA, provides generous benefits [401(k), vacation days, medical, dental, and life insurance] and reimbursement for travel expenses.
