**Description**

SUMMARY: Packs completed products with work documentation according to customer specification and standard packing procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.

Prepares packing area: Determines materials by reading work orders, following production drawings and/or receiving verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed. Verifies parts by comparing provided part with part description in work documentation.

Assures completion of product testing: Reviews work documentation. Informs supervisor or tester of incomplete testing protocols. Signs log sheet at successful completion of all tests.

Generates shipping documentation: Enters part and/or job number into computer system. Creates Pick list and shipping forms based on job specification.

Verifies product count by hand counting and comparing figures with those generated on Pick list.

Sets up packing area: Identifies packing material such as. bags, and/or boxes, and bubble sheets. Creates hand or computer generated labels as required.

Packs components and assemblies: Verifies type and/or kind of packing material on work documentation. Places parts and requested and/or standard documentation in containers.

Checks with supervisor, or looks up information on work documentation, to determine if parts are for stock, or shipping.

Periodically assists in other production areas at the discretion of the Unit Manager or supervisor.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School or GED

Experience: None

Equivalent combination of education and experience

Certificates and Licenses: None required.

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Manual dexterity, basic reading & comprehension to understand work documentation; communication verbal; Computer data entry.

Manufacturing techniques, operating techniques, inspection techniques, quality control plans, forms, work documentation and equipment necessary to perform the job.

General Visual Acuity; Attention to detail; ability to lift 20 pounds and up to 50 pounds with assistance if necessary.

RELATIONSHIPS: Unit Manager; Occasional most duties are repetitive and related with standard instructions & procedures as guides. Unusual problems referred.
