This job responds to assigned departmental maintenance needs and is responsible for the execution of repairs or replacement of affected equipment in assigned area. Additionally, this job maintains the appearance of the facility grounds including lawns, trees, shrubs, plant beds, parking lots, entrances, and trash collections. This job maintains, monitors, repairs and operates all utilities related to pool and aquatic equipment to ensure all pools in good, clean working condition, maintains preventative maintenance (P.M.) schedules and completes corrective maintenance to all equipment in a timely and professional manner. Accurately documents all activities in daily log book.

Education
Required - High School diploma or equivalent
Work Experience
Required - Experience with proper use of hand and power tools under minimal or no supervision
Preferred - 5 years of maintenance experience, including knowledge of health codes for swimming pools; safety procedures for storing, handling, and using toxic chemicals; balancing swimming pool water
Certifications
Required - Valid driver's license
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
* Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
* Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Ability to and experience with trouble shooting and problem-solving equipment issues.
* Ability to and experince with multi-tasking.
* Working knowledge of electrical, plumging, carpentry, heating/ventailation/airconditioning/refrigersation (HVAC-R).
* Ability to read, write, and understand basic blue prints.
Job Duties
* Performs general repairs and troubleshooting.
* Performs daily maintenance inspections/repairs in assigned area.
* Performs daily cleaning of assigned areas.
* Operates, repairs, maintains, and cleans mechanical equipment for pool operation including water filtration and chemical purification systems.
* Utilizes effective judgment and decision making skills when performing job duties.
* Adheres to company policies.
* Completes Preventive Maintenance (PM) inspections according to schedule.
* Follows up on completed/current assignments.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

Heavy Work - Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Sedentary Work. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible. NOTE: The constant stress and strain of maintaining a production rate pace, especially in an industrial setting, can be and is physically demanding of a worker even though the amount of force exerted is negligible
Normal routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluid or tissue and as part of their employment, incumbents are not called upon to perform or assist in emergency care or first aid.

Because the incumbent works within a healthcare setting, there may be occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment through receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning and/or disposal of contaminated waste.
