You will be responsible to support the implementation, maintenance and compliance of Procurement practice approved activities. Executes assigned activities based on the standard procedures.This position reports toManager, Supply Chain Management 2Your responsibilitiesProcurement: Sourcing as required to meet customer requirements; working with challenging suppliers to maintain agreed terms and deliveriesSupport global sourcing initiatives as required, join category teams as neededEstablishing new suppliers to meet ABB requirements as needed by the businessTeam player, support team members to ensure all customer requirements are accomplishedWork with a multitude of different types of suppliers and different requests as needed by the businessWork closely with suppliers to ensure all invoicing procedures are properly followed. Drive the proper actions with the project team and suppliers to resolve invoicing discrepancies and promote proper payments Engage proper functions, which may include AP (Average Price Accounts Payable), Goods Receipt team, Controllers, Suppliers, Project team, etcExcellence: Applies and implements procurement standards, tools and processes in the area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost and sustainabilityRemain up to date on all ABB procurement systems/tools. Play a proactive role in problem prevention/solving during the project life and perform as the procurement specialist/expert for your project teamsReporting: Creates and updates reports as needed to meet requirements for special projectsChange management: Executes and implements new directions within the area of responsibilityCompliance: Applies standards on health, safety, environment and business ethics within operational work, contract management and negotiationsTraining: Delivers and participates in training programs as required for compliance and professional developmentTrain other departments or team members on new processes or changes as requiredCommunication: Executes effective and transparent communication internally, externally and between different units and centersProcess: Standardizes processes and implements routines as per Group directives/instructionsYour backgroundBachelor's degree and minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain management, purchasing or operations preferred; or high school diploma and minimum 9 years experience in supply managementSound knowledge of procurement processesNegotiation tacticsGood understanding of contract managementWide range know how in supplier management and supplier relationshipStrong project management and communication skills with the ability to work on multiple projects concurrentlyExperience in working in international environments and managing stakeholders of varying management levelsKnowledge of SAP and SAP AribaProficient with MS Office SuiteExperience in qualifying suppliers based on risk mitigation and understanding the need to obtain safety and insurance based on the projectExperience in a project business / environmentCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the USBenefits Retirement plan Life insurance Disability insurance Wellbeing program Healthcare plan More about usProcess Industries division delivers complete electrification and automation solutions, industry-specific products and lifecycle services across industries.
