Job Title: Library Technician
Location: Washington Navy Yard, DC
Duties:
- Supporting typical library functions to include basic circulation and collection management tasks (shelf-reading, re-shelving, stack maintenance, inventorying, cleaning/dusting)
- Digitizing and organizing documents
- Inputting data and/or metadata into library systems, databases, and other documents
- Reproducing, collating, transcribing, and reviewing relevant documents
- Developing and designing document templates
- Compiling information in support of reference requests, publications, or historical products
- Assisting with Library Branch information technology and equipment
- Editing written documents and digital files
- Office coverage, task management, and follow-up of phone calls, meetings, email requests, and various other forms of correspondence.
- Follow-up to ensure that all tasks are completed on schedule and according to expectations.
Education & Qualifications:
- Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience providing library paraprofessional support.
- Possess and maintain a minimum clearance level of is National Agency Check with Inquiry (NACI).
