SOME Inc. is seeking a Night Monitor to create safe living spaces for our Single Adults at our Rev. G Smith on 2335 Altamont Pl SE This position will primarily work late evening and weekend shifts offering support to the SOME staff during off-peak hours. The ideal candidate will have experience providing security and cleaning services. Experience with vulnerable populations is a PLUS!
Position Description: This position maintains the security of the facility during off-hours. Provides upkeep of facility and maintenance activities to provide a comfortable, clean, and dignified home for residents. Performs light cleaning of the building and grounds and provides light facility maintenance.
Qualifications
Required: Some High School education; 1-3 years experience in security, residential, and/or janitorial experience.
Preferred: HS Diploma/GED; 3-5 years of janitorial experience; experience providing services to vulnerable populations, families, and seniors; Driver's License
Required License/Certification: CPR/First Aid/AED Certification
Schedule: Friday 3:30 pm - 11:30 pm Saturday 10:00 am - 10:00 pm

Expected Contributions:
* Safety Management: Supervise and circulate the building. Maintain a visitor log and record any usual incidents or violations.
* Program Management: Perform resident drug and alcohol testing as assigned. Participate in scheduled building meetings.
* Community & Maintenance: Provide cleaning as needed to common areas, bathrooms, lounges, kitchens, etc.
Reports to: Program Manager
Position Designation: This position is designated as Safety Sensitive. You may be subject to drug testing prior to or during your employment with SOME. In this position, you may be disqualified from employment based on the presence of marijuana in test results, even if you possess a medical card authorizing the use of medical marijuana.
COVID-19 Considerations: In alignment with DC Health, COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters are mandated for personnel working in SOMEs healthcare-designated programs, which currently include Medical, Dental, Population Health, Behavioral Health Services (BHS), Exodus House, Jordan House, Kirwan House, Keuhner Place, Leland Place, and Mary Claire House.
