We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Senior Marketing Manager for North America to lead our marketing efforts and enhance our brand presence in the industry. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of the construction management industry and proven experience in developing and executing effective marketing campaigns to generate leads, build brand awareness, and drive business growth.

Does this sound like you?

  • Bachelor s degree in marketing, business, or journalism.
  • Minimum of seven years of professional services marketing experience, preferably in the A/E/C industry, and hands-on implementation of marketing project pursuit strategies.
  • At least three years of marketing project management experience with a proven track-record of successfully securing project commissions.
  • Creative with strong leadership, problem-solving, and management skills; highly professional and trustworthy with sensitive information and situations.
  • Extensive experience developing and managing complex proposals, presentations, and project pursuit processes.
  • Experience managing teams of people with demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and provide constructive criticism in a team setting and one-on-one.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills; strong graphic design sensibilities.
  • Ability to communicate complex information and ideas into effective storytelling through a variety of mediums oral, written, and graphic.
  • Relentless attention to detail.
  • A collaborative and team-oriented disposition; excellent interpersonal skills that also show patience; ability to work with both peers and senior members of the firm; general positivity and a genuine care and pride in your work.
  • Ability to organize use of time in a fast-paced environment, completing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creative and entrepreneurial attitude; self-directed and motivated to succeed; a strong work ethic.
  • An appetite to consistently raise the bar.
  • A sense of humor and grace under pressure.
  • Detailed knowledge of marketing procedures, work processes, and tools, along with evidence of past successful management of marketing projects and teams.
  • Hands-on willingness to contribute wherever, whenever, and however possible to overall efforts of the marketing team.
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Suite is required; working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and database programs such as Deltek VantagePoint and Axomic OpenAsset is preferable.
  • Able to travel to other MGAC offices as needed; hybrid work environment with in-office presence required multiple days per week.

What you ll be doing (and why you ll love it)

  • The Senior Marketing Manager works closely with the Chief Marketing Officer, Executive Director of Business Development, and Senior Technical Team Members to implement strategies for securing commissions for the firm; supports management of marketing department activities in North America; and ensures firm-wide alignment and implementation of the most effective tools, technologies, and processes for marketing communications.
  • Manage a wide range of marketing activities, including but not limited to research and intelligence gathering to understand project and client goals and drivers; marketing content development; coordination with Communications team on pursuit-specific strategies to promote firm capabilities and positioning; coordination with Creative Director on graphics strategy related to qualifications, proposals, and/or templates.
  • Lead project-specific pursuit efforts, including preparation of proposals and orchestration of interviews, including both written and graphic composition; provide oversight for other marketing staff efforts for quality control, execution of strategy and messaging.
  • Handle multiple tasks in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Mentor the North American marketing pursuit team; participate in vetting potential marketing candidates.
  • Oversee North American pursuit team and manage personnel growth and development; ensure staff are trained on MGAC policies, procedures, templates, and systems.
  • Ensure marketing information systems and materials are up-to-date for North America; contribute to firm-wide collateral, content, and other media.
  • Maintain knowledge of firm-wide marketing and business development activities; ensure dissemination of this information to marketing colleagues in North America.
