Senior Tax Accountant


Job Details

Eco Financial is looking for a detail-oriented senior accountant to perform and coordinate accounting duties within our organization. The senior accountant's responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.

To be successful as a senior accountant, you should have a solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and strong financial analysis skills. An outstanding senior accountant should also possess strong Excel skills, be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work with little to no supervision and perform under pressure

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review individual, fiduciary, corporate and partnership tax returns in compliance with federal and state tax laws.
  • Calculation of personal and business estimated Federal and State tax payments.
  • Developing tax minimization strategies and implementing them accordingly.
  • Communicate with accounting staff to ensure timely deliverable review of financial statements with a focus on profit maximization.
  • A strong commitment to professional education and remaining up to date with current trends and tax law changes.

Qualifications

  • Professional licensure required - either Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA).
  • Minimum 5 years experience in the preparation and review of Federal and State tax returns.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team environment.
  • Software knowledge - tax software (Lacerte is a plus); Microsoft Office; Quickbooks Online and Desktop (ProAdvisor certification is a plus).
  • Ability to successfully work in a fast paced deadline oriented environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on delivering results to achieve client satisfaction.
