Summary: Responsible for placing correct number of products coming off fast-paced conveyor belts into boxes or packages in the correct pattern. Operate and monitor packaging equipment, case sealer and box machine. Remove damaged or sub-standard product and set aside for Supervisor to check. I. Work Schedule: Attend job regularly and on time with a four or more day work schedule including weekends.

II. Physical, Mental and Visual Requirements:

1. Capable of exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects relating to the shipping process.

2. Mental and visual ability to identify various products, prices, codes, labels and stickers and read sales orders and shipping documents. Must be able to count, add, subtract, multiply and divide. Performs routine tasks following multiple instructions on a fast-paced production line.

3. Tasks require stooping, reaching, standing, crouching, bending, twisting, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, and hearing.

4. Capable of understanding multiple instructions, maintaining production and shipping documents, and reading notices and work schedules as posted on Bulletin Board.

5. Employee subject to working inside protected from weather conditions.

6. Employee subject to noise sufficient to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard.

7. Employee subject to hazards such as proximity to moving parts, electrical current and moving objects carrying considerable weight and force.

8. Capable of working in environment of low level nuisance dust, including, but not limited to, flour and rye dust.

III. Essential Tasks:

1. Ability to pack products as they come off a fast-paced conveyor line.

2. Be able to accurately read scale and set computer on Videojet for valid expiration date and case number.

3. Ability to operate pallet jack and box machine. Have the ability to reset and load the palletizer, troubleshoot the palletizer, and to repair worn or defective pallets. Ability to operate bag inserter and restock and load bags. Ability to operate case sealer and load tape.

4. Deliver various supplies to the loading/receiving dock.

5. Maintain quality assurance measures at all times. By sight, note irregularities in shape, texture or color of product. By feel, note that product is completely frozen. Approximately every fifteen (15) minutes, pull product from line to check to see if weight is in line with specs. Also randomly pull various products for quality assurance tests.

6. Ensure an adequate supply of boxes.

7. Calibrate and test metal detectors as per required in quality assurance program.

8. Make adjustments and conduct changes overs on Affeldt.

9. Operate label machine and change labels.

10. Operate conveyor controls throughout department.

IV. Secondary Functions:

1. Relief for other packers for breaks, lunches and absences.

2. Keep work area clean at all times.

V. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

1. Preparation and Training Work requires the ability to read, write and speak English and to perform basic arithmetic calculations. Must be capable of performing all functions on the training checklist.

2. Work Experience Prior packing experience preferred.

3. Analytical Ability Some analytical ability is required. Analysis is necessary to determine and make adjustments when needed in order to provide a quality product.

4. Independent Judgment and Consequences of Errors Some independent judgment required beyond the general or semi-detailed instructions. Consequence of errors causes major inconvenience, confusion and possible substantial cost in time, money or customer good will.

5. Contact with Others Limited contact with people outside the company and frequent contact with employees in immediate work area. Important matters are discussed with Supervisor and decisions made.

6. Supervision of Others No responsibility for the work of others.

VI. Ongoing Requirements and Standards:

1. During periods of unworked time or downtime, work is to be done as assigned by Supervisors.

2. A quality product is the responsibility of each employee. Be alert to handle or report any damaged or inferior product to supervision.

3. Keep area of assigned work neat and clean. Assist other employees when possible.

4. Notify Supervisor of any equipment problems.

5. Maintain a high state of safety awareness.

d. Must be familiar with Emergency Evacuation Procedure.

6. Do not change job procedures without authorization from a Supervisor.
