****Position Summary****

The Sr. Specialist role consists of both tactical responsibilities along with indirect team leadership. Responsibilities include organizing and ensuring proper functional on-boarding and systems training for new team members. Being a functional expert and main point of contact for operations; while leading efforts in identifying continuous improvement opportunities. The Sr. Specialist will bring team members together to conduct problem-solving and solution-based recommendations; that fit within current network capacity constraints and achieves the operational objectives of maximizing service and minimizing waste.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Motivate and inspires network team members, by creating a positive and collaborative team environment.

* Works together with the Deployment Sr. Mgr and Deployment Managers to form performance objectives.

* Assists Sr. Mgr with evaluating and assessing team member performance and contribution and participates in performance reviews, mentorship, and coaching

* Acts as the first point of contact for deployment related communication and issue resolution with DSP, DRP, commercial team, factories, and physical logistics.

* Provide support and input to Network Specialists for day-to-day business risks, issues, and questions, when needed support with decision-making and seek input from other cross functional teams, where necessary that aim to minimize service risk

* Designs and enforces internal deployment operational reviews to maximize performance of the team and deployment strategies.

* Facilitates set up of needed system access for all network Specialists

* Daily review of event exceptions that impact short term inventory projections such as late incubation release, loads in the past, in-transits in the past. Follow up with key cross functional teams to resolve event exceptions and reduce future event exceptions.

* Reconcile and confirm dispatch plans. Adjust dispatch plans where needed to account for redeployment decisions, possible spoilage, rebalancing inventory levels, production planning variance, or aging of stock.

* Work closely with Factory and Transportation teams to ensure production deployment is completed timely and reduces need for future re-deployment.

* Ensure supply moves fit within short term DC/Factory/Warehouse space and throughput capacity. React to current capacity constraints by prioritizing inventory moves, reducing truckloads, pushing out supply moves all while solving for service.

* Make decisions on inventory movement that maximizes supply payload. Build and optimize truckloads using system tools to improve payload while maintaining target service levels. Research examples where payload is not met to identify root cause and drive improvement.

* Build Stock Transfer Orders (STOs) according to aligned cut-off times

* Check Available To Promise (ATP) inventory and confirm inventory to STO Delivery Notes according to aligned cut-off times

* Execute on direction received from DRP on moves for potential salvage waste or specific moves to help solve for capacity.

EDUCATION LEVEL:

* Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent experience

EXPERIENCE:

* 5+ years experience in Supply Chain (e.g. Order Management, Distribution, Inventory Management, Transportation, Demand and Supply Planning, etc.) or related Order to Cash (O2C) area preferred

* Proven record in motivating team members and demonstrating strong leadership qualities.
