Job Title
Inventory Associate II

Responsible for reconciling inventory, compiling information and maintaining accurate records of stocked materials.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Under minimal supervision, stocks, reconciles and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines; maintains records of all stock and materials and communicates shortages/discrepancies to appropriate personnel

Reviews inventory records to determine if material on hand is in sufficient quantity to meet forecasted needs

Works closely with sales and planning to minimize inventory and/or to enter orders to replenish supply if necessary

Receives product per departmental work instructions or through the use of a Kanban system

Manages inventory using first in, first out (FIFO) method and alerts planner to recommended changes

Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count, or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies

Performs and records results of inventory cycle counts as designated by management

Conducts daily /annual physical inventory process for parts in distribution area troubleshooting any discrepancies; reports needed inventory adjustments to appropriate personnel

Notifies purchasing and planning personnel of any inventory adjustments based on daily inventories; searches for root cause of repeated anomalies

Properly stores stock in appropriate location ensuring all inventory is tagged and labeled per departmental work instructions

Compiles accurate records of items' purchase prices, deliveries, and inventories controlling inventory in accordance with management objectives/directives

Contacts suppliers concerning late deliveries as requested by Buyer or management

Arranges for disposal of damaged product or surplus/obsolete materials in accordance to Company Policy

Matches externally received purchase orders and purchase order receipt data reporting discrepancies to appropriate personnel

May prepare reports of inventory balances, designating any shortages or overages

May be required to transport material using a forklift for delivery to manufacturing area

Assists and/or performs in any and all areas as assigned.

May work any and all shifts/days as required.

Job Requirements:

Education:

High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience of 2 year or more

Experience:

List the minimum experience necessary for the job

List preferred experience and mark as "preferred"

Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Possess the ability to use the computer system and software such as Windows, Microsoft Office, Outlook and MFGPro for essential departmental functions such as recording inventory, creating reports, etc.

Exhibits strong interpersonal and organizational skills, great attention to detail as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills

May be required to maintain a valid Forklift license and at times, transport hazardous materials

Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds

Target Hiring Range
Hourly: USD 19.23 - USD 23.23
