Job Details

Job Summary: The Produce Packer is responsible for helping to assemble and prepare products for packaging and shipment. Their duties include placing raw materials or products into manufacturing machines to aid the assembly process, packaging finished products and organizing them for shipments and completing checks on equipment and products to ensure quality production.

Compensation: Up to $18/hr

  • Schedule: Shifts very depending on the position. We do not have set end times to these food production shifts, so candidates who are open to their shift ending times will be preferred. Opportunities for overtime!
  • Benefits: Include medical and dental insurance after two months of employment; short term disability and life insurance after four months; paid vacations and 401k retirement savings!

Essential Functions of the Role

  • Grade, classify, and sort products according to sizes, weights, colors, or other specifications and package accordingly.
  • Notify supervisors and other personnel of production problems and assist in identifying and correcting these problems.
  • Compare colors, shapes, textures, or grades of products or materials with color charts, templates, or samples to verify conformance to standards.
  • Remove defects, such as scarred or bruised products.
  • Work in a clean, organized and safe manner.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Ability to stand on the production floor for 8+ hours per day.
  • Ability to distinguish color for grading produce.
  • Ability to work in a busy, fast paced environment.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Previous work in a processing or warehouse environment
