We are seeking a Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to drive consolidation of forecasting and reporting within the Product & Technology, Ads and Games group. The Product & Technology group is in charge of all user interactions with the service, striving to deliver a personalized and extraordinary experience that attracts and retains members. The Ads team is focused on scaling our recently introduced ad-supported plan by establishing global sales, measurement, and other capabilities, all aimed at driving long-term revenue growth. Our Games team is committed to enhancing the value of our offering by establishing Netflix as a premier gaming destination offering a diverse array of Netflix-curated and produced games.
The Product & Tech, Ads and Games FP&A team oversees the short and long term planning and financial reporting for the teams we work with. Senior executives and management depend heavily on our team to accurately forecast the financials for the business and lead financial analyses to inform critical business decisions.
This role serves as the centralized function of the Product Technology Ads and Games FP&A team, owning the coordination and consolidation of the quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting and long-term planning efforts. You will work closely with FP&A leadership to promote best practices, optimize workflows and enhance reporting capabilities to provide deeper insights into the business. Additionally, you will serve as the team s liaison with the Corporate FP&A and FinTech teams to identify system improvements and contribute to the advancement of the FP&A technology roadmap.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Project manage the short and long term financial and headcount planning activities (tops-down target setting, timelines, deliverables, etc.) providing guidance to and coordinating the work of the Product Technology, Ads and Games FP&A sub-teams
  • Review forecast and budget submissions for accuracy, pressure testing assumptions and identifying risks and opportunities
  • Own the quarterly and annual reporting deliverables to Corporate FP&A (budget/forecast presentations, variance analyses, trend analysis, etc.)
  • Liaise and support Corporate FP&A on company-wide planning and reporting deliverables
  • Identify, develop and implement best practices to drive consistency and efficiency across planning workflows and financial reporting deliverables
  • Partner with internal FP&A and Talent teams, to provide operational leaders with greater visibility into resource allocations in order to maximize the efficiency of investments
  • Perform ad hoc financial analyses to deliver insights, facilitate trade off discussions, scenario plan, opportunity size, etc.
  • Create insightful presentations, memos and other deliverables to summarize analyses and facilitate decision-making
  • Collaborate with Corporate FP&A and Fintech teams to support the enhancement roadmap and roll-out for financial forecasting and budgeting systems/tools.
  • Develop KPIs, metrics and dashboards to understand current and future resourcing needs.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in a fast-paced, highly analytical environment. Prior experience in FP&A, management consulting, strategic finance in tech, media or gaming is preferred. Experience with corporate reporting in a publicly traded company is also preferred.
  • Very strong project management, planning, & organizational skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, and deliver work under tight timelines.
  • Experience building & refining financial reporting processes, with high ambiguity and shifting requirements
  • Strong modeling skills and comfort with manipulating large datasets in Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau, and other data visualization tools
  • Candidates must be motivated, disciplined, flexible, able to work autonomously, and perform tasks with a wide range of difficulties
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to build successful relationships and partners at all levels
  • A strong attention to detail with strong judgment on when to apply the 80/20 rule to address problems.
  • Experience managing and developing high performing teams
  • Familiarity with financial systems such as Workday, TM1, Anaplan, is a plus, though not required.
Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $220,000 - $610,000.
