Job Summary:

Holt CAT is the largest Caterpillar dealership of heavy equipment in the United States. We have a full-time, Parts Warehouse Clerk position available at our Austin, Texas location. This position is responsible for responding to customers' needs in a positive, caring, and timely manner while demonstrating a sense of urgency. Must also provide prompt, accurate, and efficient processing of all parts transactions and related warehouse activities. This requires working independently, with specific direction, or as a member of a team. The hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 8:00 pm to 5:00 am.

Essential Functions:

  • Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Adheres to contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations
  • Maintains all company equipment, warehouse environment, tools, and work areas in a good, clean, and working order
  • Completes all parts order pulling transactions for external and internal customers in an accurate, timely, and supportive manner to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Completes all stock replenishment tasks in an accurate, timely, and supportive manner to ensure proper inventory status in the parts warehouse; To be monitored by management observation and stock order analysis reports, as well as daily and year-end physical inventories
  • Maintains parts operations office, warehouse, and outside yards, so that they are neat and orderly as assessed by the department manager
  • Develop sales and inventory skills by completing internal training programs as determined by performance review goal setting guide for self-improvement and achievement of other KRA's
  • Completes internal parts orders and identifies parts for return communicates job status to supervisor as needed
  • Learns how to place 3?? party orders through the CODA system and how to receive orders through the CODA system
  • Works overtime as required by workload
  • Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to meet all requirements as outlined in the Parts Warehouse Position Designation Guidelines to include; order pulling, job-related software, forklift operation, hydraulic hose building, ladder JSA, battery JSA, prime mover JSA, will counter operations, and all applicable policies and procedures
  • General knowledge of equipment and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
  • Knowledge and proficiency with current computer software and related hardware
  • Operation and control skills of equipment or systems
  • Equipment selection skills by determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job
  • Ability to follow logical troubleshooting procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and equipment used in mechanical repair including an overhead crane
  • Ability to operate a conventional forklift
  • Ability to quickly and repeatedly operate the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions
  • Ability to be self-starting and self-motivated
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read, write, and understand information
  • Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Up to two years of experience
Travel:
  • Up to 10% travel may be required & may require overnight stays
