Overview
JST is currently seeking an experienced Java/J2EE Oracle Full Stack Developer to join our team. The Full Stack Developer will develop new features and infrastructure development in support of rapidly emerging business and project requirements.This is a full-time remote position. Full Stack Developer ResponsibilitiesWork across the full stack, building highly scalable distributed solutions that enable positive user experiences and measurable business growthDevelop new features and infrastructure development in support of rapidly emerging business and project requirementsEnsure high standards of code quality and thoughtful application designWork with agile development methodologies, adhering to best practices and pursuing continued learning opportunitiesParticipate in all aspects of agile software development including design, implementation, and deploymentCreate modern front-end and reliable APIsCollaborate across time zones via MS Teams, Zoom, Git/Azure DevOps comments, documents, and frequent video conferencesSustainment and maintenance support for existing applications using Test Driven Development (TDD) techniquesPossess a positive, can-do attitude and enjoys making a difference through technical contributionsStimulate new ideas and offer out-of-the-box thinkingParticipate in all parts of SDLC including design, development, documentation, testing, and implementationPerform other tasks as assigned
Full Stack Developer QualificationsBS DegreeMinimum of five years hands-on software engineering experience.Experience with Java/J2EE and associated Frameworks such as SpringExperience with Java Message Service (JMS) and Apache ActiveMQExperience with JavaScript/TypeScript and associated Frameworks such as ReactExperience with HTML and CSSExperience with development tools such as IntelliJ and/or EclipseExperience developing REST APIsExperience with relational database technologies: Oracle, PL/SQL, Amazon RDS for OracleStrong familiarity with the Agile Software DevelopmentWork with software development team to assess, develop, test, and maintain systems and applications.Design and assist in the development of new software products or major enhancements to existing softwareExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAttention to detail and strong analytical skills
Full Stack Developer Desired SkillsExperience with one or more of the following Air Force logistics systems: ILS-S, SBSS, CDAS, SCSExperience with cloud solutions implemented in Air Force Cloud OneExperience provisioning and managing AWS services across compute, network, and storageExperience in CI/CD technologies with JenkinsExperience with code analysis tools Checkmarx, SonarQube, and Fortify SCAData integration experience developing and maintaining one-way and two-way information exchange between systems using technologies including SFTP, MQ, HTTPS and Web ServicesCOBOL to Java modernization experience
Required Clearances and ScreeningsMUST be able to successfully pass a drug screen and background check
