Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor/ Manager the mail associate is responsible for accurately sorting, posting and delivering mail. This position also entails providing a high level of customer service to employees seeking assistance from the mailroom team in person or via email and chat.

Responsibilities:

+ Providing a high level of customer service to end users seeking assistance in person or via email, phone and chat.

+ Receive and process all inbound & outbound, domestic and international mail and parcels which include FedEx, UPS, DHL, USPS, etc.

+ Utilize PDAs and the Mail Management system to maintain all package & mail inventory.

+ Deliver mail to designated mail rooms on each floor.

+ Deliver packages to each person individually and maintain full chain of custody.

+ On occasion, offload palleted packages, crates of equipment and/or merchandise from shipping companies.

+ Order, stock and maintain copy/mailrooms with supplies (i.e., copy paper, general office supplies).

+ Stock printer paper for all copiers and printers on campus.

+ Complete other special deliveries on campus as required.

+ Ensure safety and security procedures are followed at all times.

+ Enter activity data in logs, maintain records.

+ Maintain cleanliness of workspace throughout shift.

+ Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

+ High School diploma or GED equivalent required.

+ Driver's License required.

+ Strong customer service skills

+ Strong verbal and written communications skills.

+ Minimum 1-2 years customer service and shipping/receiving related experience preferred.

+ 1-3 years' experience with Microsoft Software.

+ Forklift use experience and/or certification is preferred.

+ Training to achieve forklift certification will be required.

+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a consistent basis.

+ Postage Meter, UPS, FedEx, DHL and USPS knowledge.

+ Ability to meet employer's attendance policy.

+ Ability to effectively work individually and in a team environment.

+ Average PC usage skills.
