We are seeking skilled and compassionate Emergency Veterinary Technicians to join our team and are seeking like minded individuals to fill the role and join our Emergency team.
Responsibilities:
* Assessing and triaging emergency cases
* Providing emergency treatments and stabilizing critical patients per DVM orders
* Assisting DVM during emergency procedures
* Administering medications and treatments as prescribed the DVM
* Monitoring vital signs and providing nursing care to patients
* Communicating with clients and providing updates on patients' conditions
* Maintaining accurate medical records and updating patient charts
* Assisting in sedated and anesthesia procedures as needed
* Assist DVM in basic restraint of patients during examinations, procedures, and treatments
* Maintain patient husbandry standards by cleaning and sanitizing kennels, cages, and equipment
* Assist with diagnostic procedures such as radiographs and laboratory tests
* Maintain accurate records of patient information and treatment plans
* Perform blood draw and IV catheter placement
Requirements
* High school diploma required; Associates in Veterinary Science or Veterinary Technology preferred
* Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician
* Strong knowledge of veterinary medicine, emergency procedures, anesthesia, and pharmacology
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
* Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
* Must be able to multi-task and pay attention to detail
* Must be able to problem solve
* Must be able to work in a team as a positive team player

Pay Range
$28-$38 USD
