**Visual Merchandiser**
**Location:** Fate, TX ****Job Summary****
Ensures displays are visually appealing and remain in accordance with Company guidelines. Works with cross-functional departments to maintain product placement and provides recommendations where necessary.
****Essential Duties and Responsibilities****
* Remains knowledgeable about the foods, products, and services available in the total store, in order to solve issues for the guest and improve their experience.
* Provides recommendations to store leadership regarding visual merchandising practices.
* Identifies opportunities through analysis and makes recommendations to improve category sales through optimal assortment and shelving.
* Works with store leaders to plan and execute visual merchandising strategies through all areas of the store.
* Participates during the onboarding process to train new leaders and key department staff on how to visualize and build effective displays.
* Inspire guests to discover solutions through compelling visual merchandising in all categories.
* In conjunction with category management team, oversees seasonal and permanent set within General Merchandise areas.
* Works to creatively display signs and messages.
* Ensures stored displays, fixtures, and backroom space remains organized.
* All other duties based on business needs.
****Knowledge, Skills and Abilities****
* Ability to read and interpret planograms and other merchandising blueprints.
* Intermediate knowledge of retail merchandising.
* Intermediate knowledge of supply chain management software.
* Intermediate knowledge of JDA space management software.
* Basic mathematical skills.
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Access, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
* Basic knowledge of SAP reporting and transactional applications.
* Ability to comprehend, interpret, and analyze information.
* Ability to learn new technology systems, methods and processes.
* Ability to reason, form concepts, and recognize and solve problems.
* Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.
* Ability to research information, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
* Ability to show information in presentation or diagram form.
* Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information .
* Ability to occasionally travel to off-site and out-of-town locations with possible overnight stays.
* Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
****Education, Experience, and Qualifications****
* Associates Degree in related field and two or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education required.
* Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.
* JDA Space Planning certification preferred.
* Continuously required to use close vision, distance vision, depth perception or the ability to focus.
* Frequently required to talk and hear.
* Frequently required to use hands for reaching, touching or handling.
* Frequently required to use fine finger movements (ex. sorting and typing).
* Frequently required to sit for long periods of time.
* Occasionally required to push, pull, maneuver or lift objects up to 40 lbs.
* Occasionally required to bend, kneel or squat.
* Occasionally required to stand or walk.
