**Position overview**
The primary purpose of this position is to maintain the inventory, customer service, and VELUX standards at remote regional distribution centers (incl. 3rd party RDCs). This includes the support of SAP application and department/company process flows to enhance delivery performance and to meet the demand of internal and external customer orders. This includes processing daily transactions (shipments and pickups) in SAP as they pertain to appropriate RDCs as well as regular physical inventory assurance.
**Primary Functions:**
* Maintaining processes related to inventory management of materials located at designated remote and 3rd party RDCs in SAP systems.
* Processing of customer pickup and regular sales orders in SAP.
* Physical inventory and product maintenance at remote and 3rd party RDCs.
* Daily transmission of data and information to 3rd party RDCs.
* Coordinate daily activities for inventory control
**Secondary Functions:**
* Traveling to other Regional Distribution Centers and/or 3rd party RDCs as needed.
* Maintaining operational expectations at designated remote and 3rd party RDCs.
* General warehousing functions including operating a forklift, shipping/receiving, inventory management including physical inventories and investigating shipping errors.
**Qualifications**
* An Associates degree is preferred.
* One to three years of experience in shipping and receiving preferred.
* Applied experience in planning, customer service, and inventory control in logistics and supply chain is required.
* Applied computer skills in MS Office, as well as a working knowledge of SAP as a high level user is required.
* Must possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
* Must possess strong planning and organizational skills.
* Experience in physical inventory control process is preferred.
* Applied experience in a supervision or leadership role would be beneficial.
* Must be willing and able to travel.
* A basic understanding of the VELUX product line is preferred.
* Must present a positive and professional appearance.
* Must possess an overall good work record and desire to work in a team environment.
