RECREATION PROGRAMMER I - AFTER THE BELL PROGRAMParks, Recreation & Facilities Department - Recreation Division - Permanent, year-round, part-time, 18.75/hour, multiple positionsThe City of Portland Recreation Division is offering a creative opportunity to engage with the community through a variety of recreational activities. This position is responsible for monitoring and engaging with program participants in the After the Bell Program at our school sites. Must have excellent customer service skills and enjoy working with children. First aid and CPR certified preferred.The After School Program varied hours include 2:00 - 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Slight variation in hours and schedule are possible due to staggered start and end times of Portland Elementary Schools.Necessary Special Requirements: A valid Class C driver's license in good standing is desired - if the candidate has a valid class C, a driving record check will be conducted. Offers of employment are contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory criminal background check. American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Certification or the ability to obtain within the first six months of appointment date.CEBA Union position - Grade 4 - Pay range for this position is $17.60/hour to $19.39/hour.* This position is entitled to a $1,000 bonus if hired by January 31, 2024 and remaining in the hired position through the 2023-2024 school year ending June 14, 2024.
