POSITION SUMMARY:
Receive product shipped by vendors/distributors, fill customer backorders, and update order status, stock product shelves, and deliver merchandise to customers.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Position is responsible for receiving merchandise shipped from vendors/distributors.
2. Verify quantities to shipping documents, report discrepancies to Store Manager.
3. Process receiving documents into Point of Sale System.
4. Process and fill customer orders.
5. Stock merchandise on retail shelves.
6. Assemble office furniture as required.
7. Deliver customer purchased merchandise.
8. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES: None
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
1. To perform this job successfully, an individual must have good knowledge of receiving, and inventory management.
2. Have a basic understanding of retail sales; basic computer skills.
3. Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
4. Current state drivers license and proof of insurability.
5. Ability to operate a pallet jack.
6. At least 2 years of warehousing/delivery experience preferred but not required
7. Must be flexible in schedule to meet customer demands.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

1. Lift up to 25 lbs.
2. Operate pallet jack.
3. Operate fork lift if required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:

1. Light to moderate noise levels.
2. Moderate to low light levels.
3. Dust in warehouse.
4. Minimal exposure to hazardous material.
5. Seasonal Inclement weather.
