**Inventory Specialist**

**Location:** Milwaukie, OR, US * Responsible for audits and cycle counting; identify cycle count discrepancies

* Organize and maintain inventory and storage areas

* Prepare weekly reports highlighting inventory variances

* Track and perform root cause analysis on inventory adjustments

* Must ensure paperwork and transactional work is processed in a complete, accurate and timely manner

* Operates forklift, hand truck or other transportation methods to move shipments from receiving to work center or storage locations

* May be required to work overtime

* Accountable for developing and monitoring processes and practices necessary for legal and ethical compliance in assigned area

* Work safely and without injury

* Responsible for prompt and regular attendance as scheduled

* Skill in adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers, fractions, and decimals without a calculator

* Microsoft Office; Word, Excel and Outlook

* Performs other various duties as may be assigned

**Position Summary:** The primary focus of this position will be to monitor and improve transactional integrity for parts inventory to maintain an accurate inventory count. Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels and departments of a manufacturing organization. This will include data entry, investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, and performing cycle counts.

**Availability Requirements:**

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday Friday, 7:00am 4:00pm. This position regularly requires long hours and occasional weekend work as job duties demand.

**Education and/or Experience:**

* 3-5 years experience in warehouse, Inventory management, shipping/receiving

* High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency

* Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

* Ability to operate forklift

* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual

* Basic understanding of ERP Systems (JDE a plus)

* Lift, transport and/or move a specified amount of weight frequently each day in the performance of regular duties as outlined below with respect to each assembly area. Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing and descending a stepladder may also be required.

**Environment/Atmospheric Conditions:**

The work environment conditions described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position. This positions job duties are performed generally in a shop or warehouse type environment. Team members in this position may be exposed to loud noises from operating machinery, cold temperatures, chemicals and vapors, and possibly injury associated with work involving manufactured parts, assembly and heavy machinery. The team member may also occasionally be required to work in an office environment with traditional office lighting and office furniture, as well as consistent and frequent noise, interruptions and other similar distractions.
