Position: Mechanical EngineerLocation: Rockville, MD Summary: The Mechanical Engineer will work on the design and development of HVAC systems in a team and individual environment. Will work closely with outside stake holders while interpreting blueprints and overall implementation of new system. Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports
- Research, design, and evaluate systems or processes to meet requirements
- Confer with engineers or other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, or provide technical information
- Develop coordinate, or monitor all aspects of productions, including selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, or operation of product designs
- Review technical documents to plan work
- Design industrial and commercial processing systems
- Design industrial and commercial equipment
- Evaluate characteristics of equipment or systems
- Confer with other personnel to resolve design or operational problems
- Able to work as an effective team player and independently
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 10 years of experience in HVAC Design
- Experience working on commercial projects
- Advance proficiency in AutoCAD, Trane (700), and Trace load software
- Knowledge of current international building code (NFPA)
- Proficiency in REVIT
