Antibody Bioinformatician

Job Details

Prellis Biologics employs proprietary technology to 3D print lymph node organoids, which we are using to generate in vitro antibody libraries, camelid antibody libraries, in vitro human immunogenicity screening, and in vitro human tumor/lymph node cocultures for therapeutic screening. Prellis' ability to print and culture healthy human tissue provides it with unique opportunities for generating and evaluating next-generation human therapeutics.

Prellis Biologics is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Research team and help develop our next-generation human antibody discovery technology. The role will be highly integrated with our Cell Biology team and will require background knowledge in antibody discovery / characterization platforms, particularly with respect to comparative sequence analysis and in silico modeling. General knowledge of how such analysis translates to downstream antibody engineering is preferred. The role is central to our internal capabilities as our company integrates its proprietary antibody discovery and unique tumor-immune and immunogenicity capabilities.

The ideal candidate will have previous hands-on experience with bioinformatics analysis of B-cell derived antibody sequence information and omics analysis with a proven track record of applying bioinformatic analysis for antibody drug discovery Meticulous attention to detail, proficient reasoning, and problem-solving skills are cornerstones for a successful candidate.

Responsibilities:

* Perform antibody-based sequence analysis and report generation with large, high-dimensional data sets.

* Identify potential opportunities for sequence optimization to enable lead antibody candidate engineering.

* Customize software and analysis tools to generate functional data reports.

* Develop new methods and optimize techniques that translate bioinformatic outputs to execution in the lab and guide subsequent downstream analysis.

Preferred qualifications:

* Ph.D. degree in biology, computational biology, bioinformatics or other related discipline with 2+ years relevant experience in data science and protein modeling and antibody analysis or M.S. in biology, computational biology, bioinformatics or other related discipline with 6+ years of industry experience in data science and protein modeling and antibody analysis.

* Strong knowledge of antibody structure activity relationships (SAR) and familiarity with antibody discovery workflows for therapeutics development.

* Demonstrated experience in software deployment and customization of existing software tools as it relates to protein and antibody bioinformatics.

* Prior experience with antibody sequence analysis, antibody engineering techniques and protein modeling using Genius Biologics, Schrodinger, MOE, or similar software tools.

* Proven ability to efficiently compile and statistically analyze metadata in the biological field.

* Excellent attention to detail, record keeping, and a passion for accuracy and precision.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced start-up with an intrinsically multi-disciplinary environment.

* Strong writing/presenting skills.
