DEPARTMENT: Food & Beverage - Banquets

CLASSIFICATION: Part-time, Non-exempt

BASE PAY: $16.28 plus tip point

JOB OVERVIEW

The Banquet Server for Meydenbauer Center is responsible for setup, maintenance and cleanup of appropriate service items for banquet style functions and meal services at those functions according to Meydenbauer Center standards, safety and sanitation policies.

At times, the Banquet Server will be required to work evenings, weekends and/or holidays.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

* Serve food and beverage to all guests in a professional and courteous manner.

Has complete knowledge and strictly follows standards of operation provided in the server training material.

Set and decorate all tables used for catering operation in accordance with training manual (Standard Operation

Procedure) and as directed by the Banquet Manager or Banquet Captain.

Learn and describe menu items to clients during each function.

Serve wine at table service.

May be required to bartend, if qualified.

Set up, deliver and retrieve break carts.

Clean all areas that were used for the special function upon completion and perform any additional cleaning as

directed.

Maintain the catering storage room in an orderly manner.

Acknowledge and assist clients in all public areas.

Assist other departments and/or fellow team members as needed or directed by the Banquet Manager or Banquet

Captain.

Follow Meydenbauer Center's policies and procedures, and safety and sanitation policies.

QUALIFICATIONS

* High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

* Two years' experience in banquet style functions.

* Current Washington State Food Handler's Permit

* Current Class 12 Alcohol Servers Permit preferred

* Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
