Salary Range: $15.14 - $18.93 Hourly

Job Summary:

Childcare Attendants provide short-term care for children ages 6 months to 9 years at the Family FunPlex facility. Attendants are responsible for monitoring and interacting with the children as they play in the childcare room, checking the children in and out as directed, and the general cleanliness of the area.

Experience, Knowledge, Skills:

* Previous experience caring for children in a public setting.

* Knowledge of children's games, activities, arts & crafts, etc.

* Previous customer service experience.

* High school diploma or equivalent.

* Current certification in CPR/AED/First Aid or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.

Essential Functions:

* Cares for and monitors children as they free play in the Family FunPlex childcare room and at the adjacent outdoor playground.

* Provides a safe and fun environment in which children and their parents/guardians feel comfortable.

* Leads and facilitates a variety of children's games and activities.

* Develops and fosters positive relations with members and guests utilizing the childcare service.

* Cleans, disinfects, and organizes the childcare area.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

* Frequent interruptions and heavy public contact.

* Required to work variable hours including some mornings, afternoons, early evenings, and on weekends when the childcare service is offered.

* Work will be performed primarily indoors but may be performed outdoors on and around a playground.

* May be exposed to loud noises, bodily fluids, cleaning solutions, dust, and fumes.

* Vision to perform physical activities, read computer screens and keyboards, as well as reference books and other written documents.

* Manual dexterity to complete daily work such as operate computer keyboards, iPads, other office equipment, and completing paperwork.

* Strength and stamina to stand, sit, walk, stretch, lift, bend, and carry up to 50 lbs.
