The Diesel/Tractor Trailer Tech is responsible for routine maintenance on diesel engine semi-tractors, diagnosing and repairing vehicles, and performing inspections and repairs on semi-trailers. This position requires knowledge of various tools and welders for repairs.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and make recommendations on repairs as required
- Perform repairs and modifications on all styles of tractors and trailers
- Repair, rewire, and troubleshoot electrical systems
- Follow company protocol for maintenance checks
- Perform welding on various materials
- Use computer for order and invoice management
- Change oil, air, and fuel filters
- Use handle tools for repairs
- Maintain knowledge of local, state, and federal DOT laws
- Communicate effectively with team members
