Responsibilities
Run day to day Operations of
Dry Utilities
within a successful and aggressively growing Civil Construction Company.
Mange project managers, assistant project managers, and superintendents to ensure client satisfaction and execution of Manage field personnel issues as well in collaboration with Superintendent and Muller's field operations manager.
Facilitate division growth plan and strategy with the assistance of the Director of Operations, Vice President, and Director of Estimating.
Set annual goals and reporting for the dry utility
Work within house recruiting team to identify both field and office position needs for the division.
Discipline any employees that are not meeting standards up to and including termination if plans for improvement are not met.
Brainstorm on marketing
Work to sign subcontractors up under our master service agreement who can perform different scopes of work to support the division.
Put on small networking/entertaining events for key clients and potential
Use internal CRM to build division and track opportunities/leads.
Analyze bid results and production goals for dry utility jobs and work with estimating update pricing for future bids.
Meet bi-weekly with division personnel to discuss ongoing jobs and potential
Collaborate with other division leaders to identify work opportunities on your job sites that we can send other division crews to perform (erosion control, wet utility, hydroex, jet vac, cctv and other scopes of work)
Follow up with clients after project completion to ensure client satisfaction and discuss further opportunities.
Conduct yearly reviews in a manner that encourages honest and direct employee feedback while giving the same to the team members you Make sure they understand what they are doing well and where they need to improve, and that they understand the consequences and rewards for their actions and contributions.
Work daily to ensure that all team members within the division are following our daily processes and procedures. Make recommendations as to how we can improve some of these processes.
Requirements:
3-5 years of project management experience in a dry utility related
Experience managing projects in DC, MD, and
2+ years of experience managing crews and
Must be able to read plans and estimating experience is a
Meticulous organizational skills and experience working in a high-volume, deadline-based environment (requires the ability to multitask)
Previous management or business development experience preferred
Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office programs (primarily Microsoft Outlook and Excel)
Technically strong with installation of dry utilities
