Description:

SUMMARY: Responsible for the coordination of multiple payroll functions to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and to provide direction to the Payroll Specialist. Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in your departments guest service standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in the timely and accurate submission and transmittal of payroll, including but not limited to batch import/exports, batch audit, data entry/audit and receive / load payroll check detail and summary report output files
- Perform the duties of the Payroll Specialist and provides daily direction and assistance regarding payroll processes
- Maintain data validation tables, adjustment rules, default position profiles, labor levels, etc.
- Complete payroll reconciliations and prepare payroll general ledger journal entries
- Perform audits to ensure team members are paid correctly
- Create or modify queries to research and retrieve information
- Compile and create reports for internal and external business partners
- Assist team members and time card reviewers with payroll questions/concerns
- Provide backup to the Payroll Supervisor and assist in the resolution of non-routine issues
- Monitor and update payroll department/process procedures and contribute to development of payroll related policies and procedures
- Acts as liaison between departments to maintain good working relationships

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- 2 year degree in Accounting or related field and 3 years' experience managing a payroll cycle from start to finish; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education
- UKG experience

Preferred:
- Previous UKG workforce management experience
- Previous experience having processed a weekly payroll for 1000+ employees

- Ability to solve arithmetic problems quickly, and to cross-reference and cross-check numbers repeatedly and frequently
- Effectively manage time and prioritization to ensure deadlines are met
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills with close attention to detail in order to effectively monitor progress and complete assignments effectively and accurately
- Demonstrate initiative and self-direction to perform a variety of simultaneous skills (multi-tasking)
- Ability to analyze data and identify reporting errors
- Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Strong computer skills Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and Windows
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
