Overnight Aircraft Cleaner/Detailer

Essential Functions:

As a valued member of the PrimeFlight the Aircraft Detailer will be responsible for adhering to PrimeFlight Core Values daily and following all Company policies and. The Detailer will be responsible for performing assigned job orders which may include, wet wash, dry wash, wipe down, interior or exterior detail, buffing, sanding or Brightwork polishing of aircraft. You will also:

  • Perform pre-check and post-checks of all aircraft
  • Clean the aircraft in accordance with the company aircraft cleaning manual and training.
  • Ascend and Descend ladders or steps and work on top of the aircraft
  • Work with non-toxic chemicals, such as shampoos, polishes, window cleaners, and other chemicals required to perform the job.
  • Report any obvious damage to Lead and Site Manager.
  • Fill out the aircraft checklist and invoices
  • Organize van, shop, lockers, and equipment upon completion of a task.
  • Properly clean the hangar floor and hangar area after each job.
  • Assist with laundry, cleaning, and organizing storage areas, and cleaning and organizing company vehicles.
  • Assure that all chemicals are in properly labeled bottles at the completion of each job.
  • Apply all safety materials to the aircraft before cleaning operation.
  • May with authorization be required to drive a company vehicle and to transport others to and from work locations.
  • Demonstrate regular, predictable attendance at the job location
  • Exceed PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards
  • Carry out other duties as assigned

Education/Experience:
  • High-School Diploma or GD
  • Prior Aviation or Manual Labor Experience Preferred
Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Efficient, immediate problem-solving capabilities.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may become high at various times. The employee must be willing to wear/utilize company-supplied personal protective equipment (hearing protection) to mitigate their noise exposure.

May work in a hangar, indoors either heated or unheated, and should expect to work in extreme seasonal weather fluctuations: rain, wind, heat, cold, sunshine, and areas with no heat, or air conditioning.
