** Executive Director, IT Communication and Stewardship (GSPO)**

**Position Overview**

The Global Security & Privacy Office role is the right-hand manager to the Global Chief Security & Privacy Officer. They assist with the discharge of their duties through personal management and delivery of designated security & privacy initiatives and through the facilitation of related committee charters and creation and delivery of Business and Executive-appropriate communications.

They act as a partner by coordinating cross functional security, privacy, IT, and business teams to drive process and initiatives. Leads and influences discussion to build alignment with sensitive issues involved that could impact RGAs reputation and opportunities. Assist with defining project scope and definitions of success. Develop project plans and timelines and ensure successful delivery. Lead and assist crafting the communications to stakeholders, including status and issues as well as facilitating decisions. Provide support for global security, privacy, and IT activities, including coordinating and contributing to recurring processes, procedures and reporting in addition to other activities that contribute to the teams success. Assist with developing and tracking budget and goals for the global security & privacy organization

**Responsibilities**

* Manages complex, cross-functional projects involving security, privacy, IT, and business leaders and executives, including as needed: developing charters, plans, schedules, and budgets; identifying and allocating resources; monitoring performance against schedule, budget; managing changes, issues and risks; and providing regular communication to the chartered committees, Global Chief Security & Privacy Officer, GSPO, IT LT, and other relevant project stakeholders.

* Creates and delivers executive-level communications for GSPO & IT Leadership, business leaders, and executives; translates technical and abstract IT concepts into business-relevant language for business leaders and executives; leverages MS Office mastery in the development of materials and supporting data used in communications.

* Facilitate projects / deliverables through interaction with various cross-functional leaders and personal contribution. Document and follow up with other team members to ensure resolution of issues that arise to maximize the chance of a successful outcome. Work with the project team to track any issues and coordinate with the appropriate experts/stakeholders to make sure these issues get properly resolved in a timely manner to maximize the chance of success. Monitor scope of project. Adjust project plans to adapt to changing circumstances as needed.

* Ensures GSPO, IT LT and Chief Security & Privacy Officer are understood, gain understanding when desired outcomes are not feasible and provide alternative solutions to meet objective(s).

* Conducts feasibility studies, risk analysis, and perform cost/benefit for projects.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**

**Required:**

**Bachelors degree or equivalent experience**

**Preferred:**

**Masters degree and/or LOMA certification**

**Required:**

* 5-7 years experience operating in an Security, Privacy, or IT leadership capacity (eg, Project Management, Team Lead, and / or comparable role).

* Adept at integrating personal delivery with collaborative delivery with Security, Privacy, and IT executives, leaders, and peers; provides the heavy lift where needed to achieve results, while holding self and collaborators accountable to delivering on commitments.

* Excellent planning and organizational skills. Demonstrates ability to evaluate project objectives and scope for feasibility, understanding, scheduling. Establishes project plans and executes while meeting financial and scheduling criteria. Able to manage multiple projects and/or teams simultaneously.

* Ability to work well within a team environment, participate in department/team projects and balance detail with departmental objectives. Ability to resolve conflict and foster teamwork. Ability to quickly adapt to new methods, work under tight deadlines and stressful conditions.

* Advanced ability to interpret and translate complex, abstract technical concepts into business relevant language and value propositions.

* Excellent oral and written communication.

* Advanced level of investigative, analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Highly advanced level of people management and engagement skills, demonstrating the ability to lead through influence; including the ability to delegate key areas of responsibility.

* Advanced persuasion and negotiating skills when working with senior staff and stakeholders. Effective at managing stakeholders and establishing positive, constructive relationships.

* Master at PowerPoint and developing Executive-level presentations and visuals.

* Master at Excel merging, reconciling data; lookups / cross-references; a PivotTable wizard; Charting; formatting and leveraging into Exec-level information presentation.
