Design-focused Architectural firm located in Nashville; Tennessee is seeking a confident design-oriented registered architect with 5-10 years of post-professional degree experience. A small firm focused on projects which serve municipalities and communities, we have a growing reputation in public safety and similar technically challenging commissions, often as significant building renovations and additions. In addition, we engage with churches, schools, and similar non-profits to create spaces for their organizations to flourish.
The right candidate is enthusiastic about architecture and good design which betters the community, attentive to detail and works well in a collaborative studio environment. We are particularly looking for someone who has the kind of confidence in their capabilities that allows them to enjoy sharing and communicating their knowledge and skills with others in the studio and clients in an engaging manner. Through strong management skills, the person should be able to direct a project through typical design stages coordinating both project consultants and client collaborators.
The candidate should be able to:
- Manage the typical phases of architectural project development including conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documents and construction administration.
- Collaborate with, communicate with and coordinate work of internal and external design team, clients, consultants, contractors.
- Lead a project team to accomplish work and meet deadlines.
- Provide critique, input, and opinion on project design development with a collaborative spirit.
- Provide technical and material insight for project development.
- Follow established protocols for drawing and document development, filing and general organization.
- Mentor and develop staff.
Minimum requirements: - Bachelor's/Master's degree in Architecture
- rchitectural licensure (US licensure required; does not have to be TN)
- Minimum 5 years' experience post professional degree.
- Knowledgeable in Adobe Creative Suite and MS Excel
- dept in AutoCAD and Sketchup
- ccomplished in the production of contract documentation in Revit
- Most Importantly comfortable with Pen and Paper
