Position: Mental Health Travel Therapist
Location: Sandstone Care Northern Virginia Locations
Licensure Requirements: Virginia Clinical OR Provisional License (LPC, LCSW LCMFT) (Resident in Counseling, Supervisee in Social Work, LMSW, Resident in Marriage and Family Therapy)
Annual Compensation: $80,000-$90,000 + $12,000 Sign-On Bonus
As a Travel Therapist as Sandstone Care you will:
- Deliver individual, group, and family therapy as needed, using evidence-based practices and modalities to help clients develop coping skills, self-awareness, and resilience.
- Step in for staffing absences, supporting increased client census and providing general assistance, and case management contributing to the smooth functioning of our programs.
- Support clients at multiple levels of care, working with diverse mental health, substance use, and mood disorder diagnoses, guiding them on their journey to healing and recovery.
- Embrace a variable schedule with open and flexible availability, adapting to the needs of our clients and programs.
Qualifications & Expectations: - You must currently have a Virginia Clinical OR Provisional License (LPC, LCSW LCMFT) (Resident in Counseling, Supervisee in Social Work, LMSW, Resident in Marriage and Family Therapy)- If you are licensed in another state you must be able to transfer your license to Virginia before you start date.
- 2 years of non-internship experience working in an outpatient, detox or residential treatment setting.
- 2 years of non-internship experience treating substance use disorders.
- You must be proficient in using clinical skills and modalities such as Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and documenting your work.

Compensation and Benefits- Compensation: Earn between $80,000-$90,000 per year, depending on your qualifications and experience.
