Job Description Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) is an intensive, one-to-one, behavioral and mental health services program designed to help children, adolescents, and their caregivers implement new behavioral and positive coping strategies to reduce risk of needing a higher level of care or being hospitalized as a result of the severity of their behaviors. TBS provides coaching, case management, and parental support to these clients and families from a strength-based, trauma-informed perspective. TBS Coaches are providing services in homes, residential facilities/group homes, day treatment programs and in some school-settings. Position Description TBS Coaches work directly with referred youth and their caregivers in their living placement. Coaches implement behavioral interventions in addition to the child's other mental health treatment and strategies with the youth and caregiver and are the essential component of TBS services. TBS Coaches work on a team comprised of the youth, caregivers, TBS Case Manager, TBS Parent Partners, and the youth's primary therapist, among others. Coaches complete Medi-Cal documentation of services in an electronic health record (Cerner) Requirements: Bachelors Degree required and at least 1 year direct experience working with at-risk youth preferred (group home/residential care, day treatment settings, wrap-around programs, some school settings, transitional programs, etc) Able and willing to travel, with mileage reimbursement throughout the County of San Diego. Most clients request in-person services, some telehealth is also being provided Willing to work in the afternoons and evenings (must be able to work until at least 8:00pm on evenings worked) and at least 1 weekend day. Exact hours and days flexible and dependent on your availability.
