The Loader in Training will be responsible for assisting the Loaders while training to become a Loader.The duties of the job are to spot tank cars and trucks under loading spots provided, unload and load same to prescribed levels, sample and bring sample to laboratory, make all necessary inspections and complete loading forms, gauge storage tanks, and transfer products and raw materials between storage tanks as required.Loaders monitor their equipment, submit maintenance requests, prepare equipment for maintenance, and may issue work permits as appropriate per plant procedure.All job functions should be performed in compliance with procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements.Loader areas include all tank car loading and unloading areas, all acid and caustic tank truck loading and unloading areas, and the direct burn area.Loaders may be assigned to operate various pieces of mobile equipment, such as the trackmobile.

Additional responsibilities for the Loader in Training will include the following:
Rotating shifts, morning and evening, of normally 8 hours per weekday unless otherwise scheduled.May be required to work nights, especially for direct burns.May be required to provide vacation and/or STD relief coverage on any shift.

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants for this job must high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two plus years of experience in a manufacturing environment taking samples, managing a tank farm, loading and unloading materials in trucks, railcars or barges.
Microsoft OfficeWord, Excel, Outlook,required, SAP preferred
Working knowledge of chemistry principles such as pH, density, pressure, and material compatibility
Must demonstrate safe behavior and teamwork.
Demonstrate basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
Ability regularly complete their tasks without direct supervision from the Loading Supervisor.
