Oaktree Academy is a private early education center serving children ages 6 weeks to 6 years. The mission of our center is to provide a nurturing, safe and educational environment for kids trusted in our care. We are building a team of talented Teachers to support and enhance this mission.
We are looking for an Assistant Director/Lead Toddler Teacher.

Responsibilities
Manages all facets of the center and serves as a proactive problem-solver who will be able to identify challenges and implement necessary solutions.
Responsible for team scheduling, curriculum development, managing team performance, and coordinates emergency procedures for the center;
Effectively manages day-to-day operational needs of the center;
Communicates in a way that gains trust and support of others (ex: other center staff/leadership/parents/vendors)
Fosters effective communication with parents to address their concerns/inquires;
Coordinates ongoing staff development and ensures all required annual trainings are completed;
Performs center tours with potential clients and articulates the mission of the center.
Create an environment in which children feel safe and have a sense of belonging.
Observe and learn about their interests and preferences to guide their development.
Design lesson plans that (i) are fun and engaging and help each child succeed, and (ii) meet developmental objectives of curriculum.
Maintain safe and organized classroom.
Support families by building relationships based on honest and constructive communication.
Have a professional, positive attitude.
Communicate with parents, colleagues, vendors in a clear and concise way.
Be a team player and work well with others.
Requirements:
CDA or Associate Degree with 12 hours of Early childhood education or 62 Credit hours with 12 hours in Early Childhood Education, Bachelor in Early Childhood Education
Minimum of Two (2) years of experience working in Childcare
Must have an outgoing personality
Able to Connect with both staff and families
Problem solver and critical thinker
Must have leadership skills
Can work in a team as well as independently
Fast learner
Can work under pressure
Must be flexible
