DCG Communications (DCG) is seeking?a motivated, collaborative, and highly organized Communications Project Manager to lead our team on behalf of our federal client.

In this role, the Project Manager will serve as the client-facing lead for multiple workstreams managing tasks to include the overall project timeline, financial management, communications plan, outreach strategy, written and design materials, and leadership messaging, while collaborating with and overseeing a team of content developers and editors to support execution of the above tasks.

With great passion for mission-driven work, we are honored to support so many federal communications campaigns that focus on mental health, suicide prevention, human trafficking, public safety, diplomacy and more. This project with Department of Veterans Affairs' Office of Rural Health is focused on developing and disseminating communications materials to the nearly 5 million Veterans who reside in rural communities. We aid in helping ORH refine and promulgate policies, best practices, lessons learned and successful programs that are rooted in research.

Position Requirements:

  • Experience managing a communications project as a federal government contractor. Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) preferred but not required.
  • Ability to lead and direct federal projects to include strategic planning, delivery, client and team management, directing all communication, managing deliverable schedules, and more.
  • Experience coordinating junior and mid-level staff such as writers, editors, comms generalists, and creative services to develop a wide array of communications materials including talking points, press releases, fact sheets, and other marketing collateral.
  • Ability to master the voice and tone of a variety of audiences and skillfully develop targeted strategies.
  • Proven ability to work with senior-level clients and foster a trusted, consultative partnership.
  • Strong written and editorial skills and an eagle eye to ensure deliverables are client-ready.
  • A passion for people management and staff development.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and highly organized.
