(Weekends: Saturday & Sunday)
**Job Summary**
Performs all custodial services including the following indoor and outdoor areas: Sidewalks, parking lot, grounds areas, lobby, lobby restrooms, dining room, social services waiting, social services offices, multi-purpose room, multi-purpose storage, resident restrooms, resident dorms, TH rooms (upon move-out) back hallways and stairs, administrative offices and restrooms, meeting rooms, and employee break room.
**Knowledge and Skills**
Have the ability to write and speak the English language.
Ability to work well with homeless population
Knowledge in custodial procedures and cleaning fundamentals
Knowledge of health regulations
Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand, stoop and bend
Have good communication ability.
Ability to organize work priorities.
Ability to meet job attendance requirements as designated.
Ability to present a positive and professional image of The Salvation Army.
Must be capable of understanding and interpreting the mission of The Salvation Army and its shelter programs. Ability to communicate effectively with other people.
**Education and Experience**
Must possess a High School Diploma or GED certificate with one years experience preferred.
**Physical Requirements and Working Conditions**
Position requires office and shelter environment mainly indoors. The Salvation Army strives to have an environment free from the presence or use of alcohol, drugs or other controlled substances. All Salvation Army facilities and vehicles provide a smoke free environment. Position may encounter stressful situations.
