Job Summary:
This position will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the crusher in addition to other duties at the sand & gravel operation.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
* Operate and feed an aggregate crusher operation
* Perform general maintenance on equipment (greasing, cleaning, filling out inspection reports, etc.)
* Work with other employees on your team to perform general plant maintenance, repairs, and other work where needed
* Operate other types of equipment on the property such as skid steer, fuel truck, water truck, haul truck, and boat
* Perform stick welding and torch
* Work safely while following safety rules and MSHA regulations
* Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
* Strong mechanical skills required
* Appropriate communication skills
* Customer service skills necessary to effectively interact with customers, employees, and other guests at the property
* Willingness to learn, having a positive attitude, dependable, and being a team player highly desired
* Ability to work in close proximity of other equipment and personnel
Education and Experience:
* High school diploma or equivalent required
Working Environment and Physical Demands:
* Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)
* Ability to work extended hours (including Saturday) during the busy season
* Ability to wear appropriate PPE required for the job
