Job Details

The Call Center Consultant & Correspondence Support Specialist is responsible to educate federal family members on the benefits and features of the Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program in a call center environment. This includes conducting outbound calls to potential insureds and assisting with the application process. The incumbent will respond to written inquiries from prospective applicants from sources including webinars, rate quotes and the virtual benefits fair.

**Required:**

Proficiency with MS Office suite required. Must possess (or be able to quickly attain) deep understanding of long term care funding options (and their tradeoffs) and explain how long term care insurance fits in the broader context of retirement planning. Understanding of the long term care insurance sales process from the buyers perspective, along with the ability to translate detailed insurance concepts and terminology into consumer-friendly language. Must follow instructions and be able to take direction from multiple individuals in a process-oriented environment. Must be able to work independently, with a high degree of self-sufficiency. Must demonstrate tact, diplomacy and professionalism when dealing with all internal and external customers. Must have excellent interpersonal and telephone communication skills. Ability to write in a clear, concise matter. Masters Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program features and benefits and how they compare to other long term care insurance products. Must achieve CLTC designation within 60 days of hire (in-house program and study time provided). High School Diploma or equivalent required.

**Preferred:**

Prior experience in an inbound call center preferred, experience in sales, insurance, and/or federal benefits a plus. Experience in outbound call campaigns a plus. Customer correspondence experience strongly preferred. Experience using customer relationship management software preferred.

**The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 9:30am-6:00pm.**
