Adjunct faculty members are responsible for effectively planning and teaching courses in a classroom environment to students with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences.

**Adjunct instructors needed to teach Math courses at the Manassas campus of Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA ). Courses may be taught during daytime, evening and/ or Saturday hours.**

Adjunct faculty are employed to teach up to 12 credit hours in the fall and spring semester and/or up to 8 credit hours during summer session. Teaching load is based upon student enrollment and staffing needs. Special Assignments May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

KSA's/Required Qualifications **Required KSAs:**

* Adept knowledge of instructional technologies

* Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills

* Ability to work with a diverse student, faculty, and staff population

* Successful completion and passing of a criminal background check are required

**Minimum requirements:** Masters Degree in Mathematics or a Masters with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Mathematics. Preferred Qualifications College level teaching experience and/or relevant work experience.
