You would be responsible for creating a secure and encouraging environment to help support real life change for our students. Our team works to uncover the academic, social, and emotional potential of girls who have been held back by emotional and behavioral struggles. Sunrise incorporates Relational DBT into every aspect of the program and ensures that therapists and staff are trained to help girls practice these skills continually.

The pay range for a mentor at Sunrise is $17 to $19 dollars and hour. Pay is depending on experience and education.

WORK SCHEDULE

A Night Watch Mentor is a part-time, hourly position. Part-time employees are required to work 2-3 shifts a week (10:45pm-3:15AMam and/or 2:45am-7:15am), with flexibility to pick up additional shifts to support the team.

* Night Watch will also participate in monthly (or 2x a month) staff meetings.

Responsibilities

As a Night Watch Mentor, your responsibilities are both diverse and impactful:

* Safety and Well-being: Ensure the safety and well-being of students during traditional sleeping hours, staying awake and alert throughout the entire shift.

* Bed Checks: Conduct bed checks every 15 minutes to monitor student safety and address any immediate needs or concerns.

* Student Assistance: Assist students who may be ill or experiencing difficulties, providing necessary support and care.

* Observation and Documentation: Observe and accurately document student behavior, contributing to their care and overall progress.

* Daily Assignments: Complete daily assignments during each shift, ensuring that all responsibilities are met effectively.

* Specialized Tasks: Take on specialized assignments from the Supervisor as required to support the team and students.

* Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with Day Staff to ensure seamless transitions between shifts, maintaining a cohesive and supportive environment for our students.

Qualifications

* 21 years old or older

* Current driver's license and a good driving record

* Ability to pass a Utah State background check and drug test

* Must be willing to make a 8-month minimum commitment

* Must be female

Experience working with at risk youth, childcare, scouting, camps, or post high school training in the field of mental health is preferred.
