Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a Survey Technician/Instrument Operator for our Hunt Valley, MD Transportation team to work on a 4/10's schedule.In this role your job responsibilities will include (not limited to):Reports directly to the Party Chief on survey crewWork a flexibleschedule (4/10's)Will work with robotic total stations, GPS equipment and Leica scannersMaintain survey crew equipment and inventoryWill work on ALTA/NSPS Land Title SurveysWill work on topographic, metes and bounds surveys and control networksWill interact with Party Chief, Chief of Surveys and survey team membersMaintain standards and specifications of project requirementsTravel to project sites out of town work as needed, working outof town for 4 consecutive days - 30% travel. Home on the weekends, but may leave out Sunday evening depending on the location of the jobPerforms a variety of tasks in support of survey or construction activitiesActivities may include setting up and operating equipment; inspecting equipment; inspection of engineering installations for compliance with specifications; maintaining project documentation; assisting with the building, repair, or maintenance of a structure or roadwayRelies on moderately complex knowledge of procedures, company policies, and business practices to plan and accomplish goals
