Description
The Hiller Companies, LLC, a national leader in the Fire Protection and Security industry, has an immediate opening for Mining Technicians.
Job Duties:
* Service and install fire suppression systems on large mining equipment such as haul trucks, drills, loaders, shovels, as well as fixed fire systems in buildings, conveyors, etc.
* Responding to service requests; must be able to accurately diagnose fire protection system malfunctions and adjust, repair, or replace equipment as needed to bring into compliance.
* Communicate with customers to assure that any system deficiencies are promptly reported and corrected.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
* Working knowledge of Mining Fire Protection including Fire Alarm, Fire Extinguishers and/or Fire Suppression Systems preferred but will train the right candidate.
* Mechanical, low voltage and fabrication experience a plus.
* Ability to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as tight spaces, on a ladder, high lift equipment, etc.
* Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
* Computer skills a must, entry level o.k.
* Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and screening.
* Excellent Communication and Customer Service Skills
* Possess a valid Driver's License, good driving record and pass a background check.
* Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Travel required.
