Greasing the wheels behind the scenes, our people in Operations are the backbone of our Company.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESTypically, you will pick product (optical frames, lenses and contact lenses), put them into boxes on a cart for shipping, and then replace inventory. A wrist scanner will let you know what to do and where to go next. You will work on several different teams as needed. Below is a sampling (but not comprehensive) of responsibilities on the different teams. Receiving/put away will include:Putting lenses in correct inventory locations and rotating stockOrder selection will include:Picking orders for customers and branchesInforming managers, supervisors or coordinators of stock-outsShipping will include:Verifying orders and correcting discrepanciesBoxing orders in correct containers or boxes with correct documentation and applying address labelsBASIC QUALIFICATIONSTo be a good fit for the Warehouse Associate opportunity, you will have:A high school diploma or GED The ability to:Communicate effectively to managers and peer on a daily basisMeet and exceed production goalsCorrectly use RF devices (scanners) as needed; experience with scanners is a plusBasic reading and mathematics abilityMaintain very high levels of accuracy in work assignmentsWork cooperatively as a member of a team and participates in team meetingsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSInventory and warehouse management system experienceEmployee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
