We are currently searching for Concrete Laborers/Carpenters to work within our Transportation division in Maryland/Virginia. In this role, you will be responsible for general carpentry work, building forms, mixing and pouring concrete, finishing concrete, general laborer duties.
**The Work:**
* Excavation for trenches, piers, foundations and holes, digging, lagging, sheeting, cribbing, bracing, propping of foundations, holes, and caissons.
* Preparation of highway construction and preparation of trenches, footings for transmission by pipelines, electric transmission, or underground lines or cables.
* On site preparation and right-of-way for clearance for construction of any structures of the installation of traffic and transportation facilities such as highways, electrical transmission lines, access roads, etc, slashing of brush or trees by hand or with mechanical cutting methods.
* Mixing, handling, conveying, pouring, vibrating, gunniting, and otherwise placing concrete or aggregates, whether done by hand or any other process.
* Wrecking, stripping, dismantling and handling concrete forms and false work
* Operation of motorized wheelbarrows or buggies or machines of similar character, whether run by gas, diesel, or electric power.
* Vibrating, grinding, spreading, flowing, leveling and striking or screeding by hand or mechanical means prior to finishing.
* The loading, unloading, carrying, distributing, and handling of all rods, mesh and material, for use in reinforcing concrete construction.
**Here's What You Need:**
* Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks
* Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations
* 1-3 years of experience in concrete and construction
* Ability to read and follow design plans and specifications.
* Must be positive, and customer-service oriented.
