Warehouse Worker - 2nd Shift (2 pm - 10 pm, Monday - Friday)

Dependent upon experience **NAVISTAR IS HIRING FOR THEIR 2ND SHIFT WAREHOUSE TEAM**

**THIS POSITION IS FULL TIME & ELIGIBLE FOR HEALTH / DENTAL / VISION**

*****Job Summary*****

Receives, stores and distributes material, tools, equipment and products within the company.

*****Duties/Responsibilities*****

* Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed

* Stores incoming materials

* Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets

* Drives vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment

* Opens bales, crates and other containers

* Unloads incoming stock and verifies counts

* Assists in taking monthly inventory

* Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence

* Mark materials with identifying information

* Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed

* Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards

* Uses computer to enter records

* Obtains purchase orders from order department

* Completes purchase orders and turns into production office for receiving

* Fills requisitions, work orders, or request for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers

* Completes requisition forms t order supplies from other departments

* Maintains inventory records

* Collects and counts rags and mats from department and takes to shipping areas

* Empties recycled trash from offices

* Assists bailer operator with trash removal

* Removes waste from production area to bailer or dumpster

* Knows and follows the safety procedures of the department

* Reports work related injuries to supervisor

* Performs other duties as required

* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions

* Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations

* Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos

* Ability to write simple correspondence

* Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization

* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

* Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs

*****Education and Experience*****

* High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

***Physical Requirements***

* Regularly required to stand and walk

* Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

* Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance

* Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds

* Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions

* Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles

* Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud
